A Car-Themed Simulation Event on Wednesday, September 23rd!
The Alignex team is excited to present a day of simulation and FEA analysis topics. Get ready for a day jam packed with sessions on flow simulation, linear analysis with design optimization, analyzing stress on plastic injection molding and much more. Plus, hear from our special guest speakers and Hot Rod Factory.
Browse classic cars from the Hot Rod Factory, tour the all-new Alignex mobileEX traveling trailer and enjoy a complimentary BBQ lunch. Plus, network with your industry peers, guest speakers and the Alignex team throughout the day or afterward over drinks at the post-event bash!
And if you haven't yet, don't forget to register today!
Get here early to check-in for the event and enjoy complimentary coffee and light refreshments.
Evan Fader - Simulation Territory Sales Manager at SolidWorks Corp.
Find out why companies are choosing to invest in virtual simulation tools. In this session, we’ll be discussing a recent Aberdeen report highlighting why engineers are relying heavily on virtual testing versus traditional methods to stay competitive in their market.
Plus, hear about a real-world example of a company who has seen a clear business advantage since investing in SOLIDWORKS Simulation.
Brian Zias - Territory Technical Manager at SolidWorks Corporation
In this session, see an example that illustrates linear statics, fatigue and optimization of a lightweight forged aluminum street and racing performance wheel. Plus, see a linear dynamic study that illustrates harmonic analysis and calculates the peak steady state response.
Shaun Kroeger - solidThinking, Inc.
See how solidThinking Inspire can create and investigate structurally efficient concepts quickly and easily. Traditional structural simulations allow engineers to check if a design will support the required loads. Inspire enhances this process by generating a new material layout within a package space using the loads as an input. This can lead to reduced costs, development time, material consumption, and product weight.
Tim Spielman - Application Engineer from Alignex, Inc.
In this session, we'll use SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation to analyze airflow through a vehicle intake manifold and optimize the design to achieve an even distribution of combustion mixture to the ports in the cylinder heads.
After an exciting morning of presentations, enjoy a complimentary BBQ lunch, explore onsite classic cars, our new Alignex mobileEX custom trailer and more.
Ray Schoenfelder - CEO at Black Diamond Xtreme Engineering
With over 90 years of machining and manufacturing experience, Black Diamond Xtreme Engineering holds four patents and is highly innovative in product design and development. Black Diamond operates out of their headquarters in Cannon Falls, MN where they manufacture a full array of snowmobiles and snowmobile components.
Get an insider's look at how they've used SOLIDWORKS SimulationXpress tools to gain insights into their product designs and how they are now utilizing full-blown simulation tools to take their product quality to the next level.
Dean Schley - Sr. Application Engineer from Alignex, Inc.
In this session, we'll use SOLIDWORKS Plastics to evaluate the fill, pack and warp results of the glass fiber intake manifold to digitally look at the part/mold design before building the mold in steel. We can then make modifications to the part and rerun our changes. Also residual stress in the plastic can be output from plastics and used as an initial start of the FEA simulation stage.
Brian Zias - Territory Technical Manager at SolidWorks Corporation
With SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional designers and engineers who are running linear static studies can analyze for five additional failure modes and utilize a basket of assembly productivity tools. Get better results with faster and easier setup that will ultimately save hours or days of time compared to using linear statics inside of SOLIDWORKS Premium or Simulation Standard alone.
