Alignex is an engineering technology company seeking a software developer/business analyst with strong database skills. The role includes developing, testing, implementing and documenting scripts, software and reports for a wide range of customers from many industries focusing on Mechanical Engineering, Product Data Management, and Business System Integration. This position can be located anywhere but there is a preference of inside the Alignex territory (MN, IA, WI, SD, ND, NE, CO, WY).
Education
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
- 2 to 5 years of work experience in database application development with at least 2 years of work experience in ETL / System Integration
- Strong working knowledge and experience with .NET, XML, LAMP, SQL, SVN version control software
- Understanding of relational databases and basic DBA skills
- Experience with CAD or Data Management systems a big plus.
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Must work well independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) as well as excellent customer relations skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks
- Commitment to excellence and pride in their work and strong work ethic
- Possess excellent problem definition and problem solving skills
- Ability to travel regionally 10 to 20 percent. (Although this travel is not usually an overnight)
